I found a friend’s weblog on this same site earlier today and thought, “I should become a philosopher.” I’ve decided to publish philosophical thoughts here in this weblog, because honestly I need to keep a record of the things that I think, because many of them are distinctly interesting.
The title for this webpage comes from Lewis Carroll’s book Alice Through the Looking-Glass. More notably, it’s from the poem “The Walrus and the Carpenter.”
“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of sailing-ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings–
And why the sea is boiling hot–
And whether pigs have wings.”
I hope to discuss many things in this blog. Hopefully some of them will be interesting to some people, somewhere, maybe…
